In response to the current pandemic, NVIDIA is sharing tools with researchers that can accelerate their efforts to understand the novel coronavirus and help inform a response.NVIDIA has announced that it is providing a free 90-day license to Parabricks to any researcher in the worldwide effort to fight the novel coronavirus. Based on the well-known Genome Analysis Toolkit, Parabricks uses GPUs to accelerate by as much as 50x the analysis of sequence data.

Oracle last week announced strong results for fiscal 2020 Q3. Total revenues were $9.8 billion, up 2% in USD and 3% in constant currency compared to Q3 last year. Cloud services and license support revenues were $6.9 billion, up 4% in USD and 5% in constant currency. "Subscription revenues, made up of cloud services and license support revenues, grew 5% in constant currency. These consistently growing and recurring subscription revenues now account for 71% of total company revenues," said Safra Catz, Oracle CEO.

Quantum computing continues to captivate imaginations. One of the primary objectives of any high-availability architecture is to ensure that any single points of failure are eliminated, such as cluster nodes connecting to a single SAN. If you are running SAP in the cloud, you can take advantage of your cloud provider's availability zones, which may exist in different geographic regions.
