Red Hat is contributing to Microsoft KEDA, a new open source project aimed at providing an event-driven scale capability for any container workload. Using KEDA, Red Hat puts Azure Functions on top of its OpenShift Container Platform in Developer Preview. It is designed to behave the same way it does when running on Azure as a managed service, but now running anywhere OpenShift runs, which means on the hybrid cloud and on-premises.

A new survey report on mainframe security reveals that organizations know that mainframe security is important, but they're not taking actions that reflect their priorities. Even though 95% of respondents say they're concerned about the potential of customer data breaches on the mainframe, 67% admit that only sometimes or rarely are they factoring security into mainframe decisions, putting the most critical IT systems at significant risk.

The implications of CAP Theorem, more than anything else, led to the schism in modern database management systems.
